ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- If you believe in the power of technology, the Denver Broncos will hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February.

PredictionMachine.com played the upcoming season 50,000 times and the Broncos were the NFL champion 25.1 percent of the time, highest total of any team. In those title game appearances the Broncos defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX 52.9 percent of the time by an average score of 24-23.

The Seahawks were projected to win the Super Bowl in 22.6 percent of the 50,000 times the season was played, the second-highest total of any other team while the New Orleans Saints were next as champion in 15.8 percent of the 50,000 simulations.

For the Broncos the most likely projection was to meet Cincinnati in the Divisional round and the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. The Broncos defeated the Patriots in the conference title game this past January before a 35-point loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.
