Practice Report: No Johnson or Quin

October, 2, 2013
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was not participating in the media portion of practice for the second straight Wednesday.

Johnson, who was at practice but without a helmet last Wednesday, did not show up today.

Safety Louis Delmas, as per usual, was not at practice Wednesday. His safety-mate, Glover Quin, was there but without a helmet, so that usually indicates no practicing for him.

Also not in attendance -- cornerback Chris Houston, who has a leg issue, and wide receiver Nate Burleson.

In better news for Detroit, Rashean Mathis was at practice, as was wide receiver Patrick Edwards. Edwards miss Sunday's game with an ankle injury.

In other news, two players were wearing bright pink shoes (it is breast cancer awareness month in the NFL) -- linebacker Tahir Whitehead and center Dominic Raiola.
