After a lot of will-he, won't-he speculation and questions about whether or not rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah had a concussion or not, things seem to be more clear now with the first-round draft pick.
He did have a concussion. And he is also back practicing, having participated in all drills during the open portion of practice Thursday. Ansah first returned to the practice field Tuesday after suffering a concussion in the days leading up to the Lions' final preseason game against Buffalo.
But on Tuesday he observed practice. He did not participate on Wednesday, either, but was seen running on the side during the open portion. On Thursday, he actually went through drills, giving potential to him playing for Detroit against Minnesota on Sunday.
It appeared everyone else was at Detroit's practice today.
Linebacker Rocky McIntosh, officially re-signed Wednesday, is No. 52.
