Lions practice report: Two sit out

September, 6, 2013
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah practiced for the second straight day Friday. While it isn't clear whether that means he'll play Sunday against Minnesota, it is a better sign than earlier in the week.

Two other Lions, though, missed the open portion of Friday's practice.

Safety Louis Delmas was nowhere to be found on the field and defensive end Jason Jones was at practice, but sat off to the side as the rest of the defensive linemen participated in drills.

We'll find out more later from the injury report, but it isn't unusual for some veterans to miss practices here and there throughout the season. Delmas has had knee problems the past two seasons, and Jones has had knee problems in the past.
