Moves were almost certainly going to come -- either before the draft or after -- with some of the futures/reserve and lower-tier free agents the Detroit Lions signed earlier this offseason.
It appears the first one has happened Thursday.
The Detroit Free Press is reporting the Lions have agreed to an injury settlement with linebacker Jon Morgan, who was in training camp last season as an undrafted rookie free agent, released and then re-signed with the team on a futures contract after the season.
Morgan, who would have been a long shot to make the roster in the fall, was scheduled to make $420,000 in 2014 and $510,000 in 2015. None of his money was guaranteed.
