Throughout this week, we'll have various Detroit Lions talk about the best game they ever played -- in college or the pros.

All the players I spoke with for this -- one for each day of the week -- ended up going with an NFL game, but they had the option to pick a college game if they wanted.

Monday begins with cornerback Bill Bentley.

Bentley
Date: Nov. 28, 2013

Opponent: Green Bay Packers, at Ford Field

Score: Detroit 40, Green Bay 10

How Bentley fared: Bentley had three tackles and a pass breakup in 28 defensive snaps.

Why this game: "I ain't going to speak on college. I can't play in a best game if we didn't win, stats aren't about the best game. So I would just say the best game I played was Buffalo in the preseason. We won. I played a pretty good game in the season. I want to say Green Bay at Lambeau but we lost so I don’t want to say that for my best game because we lost.

"Oh Thanksgiving, Green Bay. We had so much fun as a defense and we beat Green Bay on Thanksgiving. That wasn’t done in so many amount of years. I had a couple of pass breakups and made a couple few plays. So I’ll take that game. Green Bay on Thanksgiving."
