Martin remains the team's holder and, for now, is also keeping his grasp on the kickoff job, too.
"As of now, yeah, I'm kicking off," Martin said.
Come September, he anticipates the job will still be his. He explained kicking off -- especially throughout training camp -- can add extra wear to a leg that will primarily be focused on punting once games begin.
"It definitely does, especially for one, a team that scores a lot, and two, it's the most violent kicking motion," Martin said. "It definitely takes a toll on you. I think last year it did more so because of the extended season from college to now."
He didn't have to worry about that this year, but wants to remain careful with his leg.
