Practice Report: Johnson, Scheffler out
By Michael Rothstein
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who missed his fifth career game Sunday against Green Bay, was not at practice Wednesday as he continues to rehabilitate his ailing knee.
Five other Lions starters also missed practice Wednesday: cornerback Chris Houston (hamstring), safety Louis Delmas (knee), right tackle Jason Fox (lower body) and tight end Tony Scheffler (unknown).
Also missing practice was running back Theo Riddick (concussion).
In some good news for Detroit, receiver Nate Burleson was at practice for the first time since breaking his forearm in a car accident as he attempted to save a pizza from falling from his seat.
He only had a hat, though, not a helmet, so he would not be practicing.
