The Lions, lying in wait for the new year...
The Detroit Lions decided to bring back quarterback Dan Orlovsky on Wednesday and with it, the team should essentially be done with any sort of major free agency moves.
In part, because they have solved a decent amount of their issues -- safety, receiver, tight end, backup quarterback, defensive line depth. Also, because as of now, the Lions are out of cap room.
The team will certainly make some space through the restructuring of current contracts, converting base salary to signing bonus to spread the money out over years. Reggie Bush, Chris Houston, Stephen Tulloch and Glover Quin could be candidates with the way their contracts are structured.
The team needs to do this, because it had less than $2 million in cap room before the Orlovsky signing and will need money to sign its rookie class in May.
And now, a look around the Interwebs in search of Lions news:
Offensive tackle Jason Fox signed with Miami (he was in Detroit the past four years) and told colleague James Walker that his injuries are in the past.

The Lions have to figure out what Joseph Fauria is, writes Kyle Meinke from MLive.
