The New York Giants and Buffalo Bills played a glorified scrimmage on Sunday to open the preseason portion of the NFL schedule. And while that alone may qualify for the “football is officially back!” declarations, the sentiment was cemented by one beautiful moment. Yes, I’m of course talking about America’s favorite facial expression -- the Manning Face!
The Giants may not be ready for the regular season just yet, but Eli’s face looks to be in midseason form. And somehow that wasn’t the younger Manning brother’s only contribution to the Internet on Sunday. The quarterback wasted no time in producing his first fumble of the year. Much to the delight of just about everyone.
I just turned on my TV and now have the privilege of noting that the first play I saw of the 2014 season was an Eli Manning turnover.

It's not officially the 2014 NFL season till Eli Manning turns the ball over. https://t.co/fuWSSByfIz

We missed you, football. Oh, and for the five people who actually care, the Giants won the totally meaningless game 17-13.
