Broncos Play Keep-Away From Peyton Manning With Record-Setting Ball

As you’ve probably heard by now, some football player named Peyton Manning broke some record on Sunday night. The Denver Broncos quarterback passed Brett Favre’s mark for career touchdown passes in a 42-17 rout of the San Francisco 49ers. With 3:09 left in the first half, Manning threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas for his 509th TD pass to secure his spot in the record books.

While the adoring crowd gave him a much-deserved standing ovation, his teammates decided to have a little fun at his expense and played a game of keep-away with the record-setting ball. REAL MATURE, GUYS.

In bittersweet news for Manning, the ball was eventually returned ... but is already en route to Canton, Ohio, where it is expected to be on display by late Monday afternoon at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
