That left rookie Johnathan Franklin as the Packers’ lone running back.
Franklin, a fourth-round pick from UCLA, previously had played only on special teams but capped the Packers’ first drive of the third quarter with a 2-yard touchdown run. He carried four times for 20 yards and had one catch for 7 yards on the drive that put the Packers ahead 23-14 with 11:40 left in the third quarter.
