GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The first practice of the week sometimes reveals a new injury or two, and that was the case on Wednesday for the Green Bay Packers as they began preparations for Sunday’s home opener against Washington.
Left guard Josh Sitton and tight end Jermichael Finley both were spectators during the portion of practice that was open to reporters. The fact that both were in attendance suggests they weren’t seriously injured. Both finished Sunday’s game at San Francisco.
The full injury report will be available after practice.
The only other player not practicing was cornerback Casey Hayward, who has been out since Aug. 23 because of a hamstring injury.
Safety Morgan Burnett, who missed Sunday’s game because of a hamstring, took part in the portion open to reporters but may have been limited.
Also, linebacker Nick Perry, who sustained a stinger against the 49ers, was back at practice.
