GREEN BAY, Wis. – Those who took us to task for our incredibly early season predictions -- and there were plenty of you in my Twitter mentions -- Las Vegas did not think it was too early to start taking wagers on the regular-season openers.

The Las Vegas Hotel released its point spreads on all 16 Week 1 NFL games shortly after the schedule was announced on Tuesday night.

And the casino doesn’t seem to like the Green Bay Packers much in the Thursday night season kickoff game at the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

The LVH has installed the Seahawks as a 5-point favorite, which was tied for the fifth-largest point spread among Week 1 games.

One other NFC North team is a Week 1 underdog. The Minnesota Vikings are a five-point underdog at the St. Louis Rams. The Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions both open at home, with the Bears a 6.5-point favorite over the Buffalo Bills and the Lions a four-point favorite over the New York Giants in the first "Monday Night Football" game of the season.
