The Green Bay Packers are expected to hire New Mexico State's offensive line coach Steve Marshall to be the team's assistant offensive line coach after Joel Hilgenberg resigned last week to spend more time with his family.

Marshall had two prior stints in the NFL coaching the offensive line with the Houston Texans (2002-05) and Cleveland Browns (2007-08).
Marshall's 2007 Browns' offensive line surrendered the third fewest sacks (19) in the league.

A 34 year coaching veteran, Marshall's other collegiate stops include: Colorado, California, North Carolina, Texas A&M, UCLA, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Murray State, Marshall and Plymouth State.

While at Colorado, Marshall tutored current Packers starting left tackle David Bakhtiari.
