No. 22 Columbus wins Marlins Park opener


The Columbus (Miami) high school baseball team earned the first win in Marlins Park when the Explorers defeated Belen Jesuit (Miami) 6-4 on Monday night in the opening of the Miami Marlins' new stadium.

According to The Miami Herald, an estimated 6,000 fans took in the action, which included a home run by Columbus sophomore catcher Brent Diaz.
