LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Dalton Dulin, the starting second baseman for the Washington Nationals, was the key sparkplug in a 12-3 win over the New York Yankees in the first of the three games Monday.

Dulin had three singles in four at-bats, recorded three steals, drove in a run and scored twice.

The 5-foot-9, 165 pound senior-to-be from Memphis University School (Memphis, Tenn.) is committed to Ole Miss and is playing in the Area Code Games for the second consecutive year.
