One of the top catching prospects in the nation, Kennedy is fundamentally sound in his all-around game. At bat he is well balanced with average power and looks to be a solid batting average hitter. Behind the dish he has good blocking skills, a strong throwing arm, and great footwork.
During the game that took place after this batting practice session, Kennedy threw out a runner at second by two full strides and we had him clocked at a 1.92 second pop time. What really stood out about this play was his footwork. It was at a blink of the eye that he received the ball, had his feet set and released an absolute dart right on the tag side of the bag.
With catchers always at high demand Cal State Fullerton scored when Kennedy gave his commitment to play for the Titans next year.
