Trevor Hyman, a native of California playing for Real Salt Lake-AZ, verbally committed to Stanford on Wednesday, according to his family.
Hyman, a Class of 2013 prospect, has started 21 of his 23 appearances for Real Salt Lake's under-15/16 Development Academy team. His five goals is fourth-highest on the team. Real Salt Lake currently is in second place in the SoCal Division and nearing a guaranteed playoff position.
Hyman attends Vista Grande (Casa Grande, Ariz.). Previously, he attended and played at Northwood (Irvine, Calif.).
He joins a Stanford recruiting class that includes Marshall Glover from Georgia, Michael Griswold from California and Jordan Morris from Washington.
