Koty Millard, one of the nation's top Class of 2013 prospects, has verbally committed to South Carolina, ESPNHS learned Tuesday.
Millard is a starter for the South Carolina United Battery under-15/16 squad in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, where he has scored five goals in 14 matches. The team is currently in first place in its division. He started in 27 matches on last year's under-15/16 team that ended in a tie for second place.
He is the No. 23-rated prospect in the latest ESPNHS 150.
Millard helped Cardinal Newman (Columbia, S.C.) to an independent school state title last year and he was named to the ESPNHS All-America third-team.
