Danny George, the starting goalkeeper for the Clearwater Chargers in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, verbally committed to Florida Gulf Coast, according to his family.

George is a Class of 2012 recruit.

He shared time in goal last year in high school for Countryside (Clearwater, Fla.) and the team earned a POWERADE FAB 50 ranking in 2011. He's the starter this year.

For the Chargers, he has appeared in 10 of the team's 13 matches.

George is the fourth confirmed commitment to Florida Gulf Coast, joining Florida prospects Andrew Garcia, Jourdan Gooden and Anthony Ricci.
