Jake Taylor, from Whitefish Bay, Wis., confirmed Sunday that he has verbally committed to Marquette.
The Class of 2013 defender prospect plays club soccer for Bavarians, where he has been a six-time state US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program participant. He once made the Region II squad and was part of an under-14 National I.D. Camp.
In high school, Taylor played for Whitefish Bay (Wis.) and earned Milwaukee Journal Sentinel first-team all-area honors in 2011.
Taylor is the third Class of 2013 player to commit to Marquette, joining Louis Bennett and Alex McBride, both from Wisconsin.
