DC United defender commits to Maryland

Suliaman Dainkeh, a Class of 2013 defender prospect from Reston, Va., has verbally committed to the University of Maryland, ESPNHS learned Tuesday.

Dainkeh plays for DC United's under-15/16 US Soccer Development Academy team, where he's started all four matches this season.

Prior to joining the Academy, Dainkeh was a state and region Olympic Development Program participant and won a Virginia State Cup title with the Reston Knights.

Dainkeh attends South Lakes (Reston, Va.).

He joins a Maryland 2013 recruiting class that includes Alex Crognale of Ohio, Chris Odoi-Atsem of Maryland, Nigel Robinson of Virginia and Zackary Steffen of Pennsylvania.
