Rhode Island men's soccer team landed a pair of commitments recently, Ryan Oakley from England and transfer student Brett Uttley.

Oakley is a midfielder who played in the youth system for Norwich City FC.

Uttley, also a midfielder, is attending Rhode Island as a graduate student after playing the past three seasons at Quinnipiac. He appeared in 13 of the team's 16 matches in 2011, starting 10.

Oakley and Uttley join a recruiting class that includes Jack Blatchford of Massachusetts, Michael Discavage of Pennsylvania, Andy Hess of Rhode Island, David Isaacks of Missouri and Michael Welsh of Scotland.
