Why North Carolina-Wilmington?: "I chose UNCW because the soccer program has a strong history of success and a tremendous upside. The CAA is one of the top conferences in the nation and Wilmington can compete with any team in America. I believe Coach [Aidan] Heaney and his staff really have the program moving in the right direction. The atmosphere is also a positive. The city and campus support the soccer program and being at the beach will be pretty awesome.
What surprised you about the recruiting process?: "I was surprised by how quickly I was able to narrow down my list. Of course, some schools took care of that for me. No matter how strong a player you are, some coaches won't see you as a fit. Every coach I spoke with was very nice, very professional, but also very direct. We all know how competitive this process is, so I consider myself blessed to be in this position and thankful for everyone who has supported me as I have come up through the CASL system."
