Virginia lands top Class of 2013 prospect

Jordan Allen, the No. 4 prospect in the ESPNHS 150 for the Class of 2013, has verbally committed to Virginia.

The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle broke the story late Thursday.

The Rochester, N.Y., native is currently training with Real Salt Lake-Ariz., where he's playing club soccer. He previously attended Aquinas (Rochester, N.Y.) and spent time at the U.S. Soccer Residency in Brandeton, Fla.

Allen is the first confirmed Virginia recruit for the Class of 2013.
