It’s a monster week for softball honor roll, including two homers in a game by All-American candidate Gabrielle Maurice and three from All-American candidate Darian Tautalafua. Week’s best also includes one girl with two grand slams and nine RBIs in one game.

He had a career day by going 5-for-6 at the plate which included four doubles and eight RBIs in a 29-0 win over Kennedy of Delano. Avila’s four doubles in a game ties the reported state record. It would be wise for opponents to learn the name of this talented sophomore as he scored 34 points for the second game in a row earlier this week in a 52-34 win over Freedom Christian.

She was named the Ventura County Star's Girls Athlete of the Week after scoring 21 points and grabbing 18 rebounds in a win over Channel Islands and scored 19 points with 25 rebounds in a 47-39 victory over Pacifica of Oxnard.
Devon Brookshire (Bishop Montgomery, Torrance)
Brookshire was on fire in leading the Knights to just their third Del Rey League win of the season as she scored 35 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 58-53 road win over Bishop Amat of La Puente.
