Colorado Week 2 Rankings: Mullen takes a tumble

One of the nation's longest winning streaks came to an end this week as Mullen, the three-time state champs and winners of 34 straight contests, finally succumbed to an opponent with a 12-7 loss to Grandview. The loss also marks the first time this season the Mustangs are not the state's top team. That spot belongs to Valor Christian. The 4A school has proven it can play with the top teams regardless of classification.

1. Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch) — No game (last week: No. 2)

2. Mullen (Denver) — lost to Grandview, 12-7 (last week: No. 1)

3. Grand Junction — defeated Overland, 35-0 (last week: No. 5)
