Sheri McHenry Lynch/ESPNHSColton McCaffrey from Chaparral (Colo.).Chaparral (Parker, Colo.) sophomore attackman Colton McCaffery has made a verbal commitment to play men's college lacrosse for the University of Denver.
McCaffery was highlighted in the January 2 Around the Crease piece in the Look Who's Playing feature. McCaffery made the varsity team his freshman year and lead the team in scoring as a freshman with 43 goals and had 23 assists in 2011.
Denver is a Division I program located in Denver, Colo. The Pioneers are becoming a force to be reckoned with in college lacrosse as they had an impressive 2011 season. Coach Bill Tierney's squad reached the 2011 NCAA semifinals and went 15-3.
