We’re trying to keep things Ziploc fresh around here, so we’ll be churning out new content and talking to as many local stars whenever it's possible. Football pick ‘em is some new flavor we’ll be adding to the mix on a weekly basis. We’ve enlisted the services of ESPNHS All-State DBs Geno Smith (@SmithGeno4) of St. Pius X and Josh Holsey (@HeyItsJholsey) of Creekside to offer some insight on the top FB games this season.

It’s simple, the three of us will pick the winners of five games every week and keep a tally until the end of the season. We’d love for you guys to participate also by leaving your picks and Player of the Game nominee in the comment section. Go ahead and see if you can hang with the experts.

With no further ado, lets get going with this week's slate of games.

Week 6 pick ‘em games
No. 6 Sandy Creek (3-0) at Henry County (2-1)
Ware County (3-0) at No. 10 Lowndes (4-1)
Banneker (4-0) at Lovejoy (3-0)
Lovett (3-0) at No. 6 Buford (5-0)
Wilkinson County (4-0) at Aquinas (3-1)

Geno Smith’s picks (Record 0-0)
Henry County, 23-18 — I’m going with the upset. Henry County is under the radar. Whoever makes the least amount of mistakes will win.
Lowndes, 28-21 — They’ll show up in this big game (after losing to McEachern earlier in the year). Josh Harvey-Clemons will be key.
Banneker, 35-21 — They’re putting up a lot of points this year. I’ve been hearing about them every game.
Lovett, 20-17 — Someone will beat Buford finally. It’s probably going to be a close game, but I’m going with the upset.
Aquinas, 24-7

Josh Holsey’s picks (Record 0-0)
Sandy Creek, 28-7 — I say JaQuay Williams goes for two TDs and probably gets 80-90 yards receiving. Mike Hilton will probably have a big game too.
Lowndes, 21-14 — Harvey Clemons will have a big game. Like 6-7 tackles and a big impact on defense.
Lovejoy, 28-6 — Lovejoy will win if it can stop the run. They have a really good, young team.
Buford, 21-7 — Geno picked against Buford? Wow. Dillon Lee will have a good game on defensive side of the ball.
Wilkinson, 17-14

David’s picks (Record 0-0)
Sandy Creek, 28-13 — The Patriots have pitched consecutive shutouts and have allowed 20 points all season. Not good news for Henry County.
Lowndes, 17-10 — A FG decided last year’s meeting as Lowndes took a 3-0 victory. The two offenses should be more active this time around. Give me Mike Moore and Lowndes in this one.
Banneker 35-24 —Banneker was able to move the ball against a tough Creekside defense (sorry Josh). I think they will have success doing it against Lovejoy.
Buford, 42-6 14 points is all that the Buford defense has let up this year. I think Geno is tripping on this one.
Aquinas, 24-14 — Mini upset here as workhorse RB Brendan Douglas (five TDs last week) and the Irish halt Wilkinson’s bid for an undefeated campaign.
