Remember the name: Tornado Ali Black

Want an easy assignment for a change?

Then remember this name: Tornado Ali Black.

The 13-year-old rising tennis star from Boca Raton, Fla., dropped only a single set on her way to winning the Eddie Herr International Junior Championships Girls Under 16 Division title last weekend.

In addition, Black was presented with the tournament's Rising Star Award, which is given to a player who shows the potential to become a top-level pro. It isn't awarded every year, and Black became the first American to win it, joining the likes of Maria Sharapova, who also won the U-16 tournament when she was 13.

"We think she is a very unique player who has what it takes to not only be on the pro tour but to be a top pro," tournament director Rick Workman said.

And how's this for an interesting twist? Tornado has a younger sister named Hurricane, and the two have already drawn comparisons to another sister act in tennis: Venus and Serena Williams.
