The students at Ingraham (Seattle, Wash.) had plenty of banners hanging in their old, creaky gym.
They all read "Sportsmanship," which was nice. But it would be better if a few read "Championship."
The Ingraham athletic program had become the "laughing stock" among area schools because its facilities were so outdated.
Ingraham will be featured tonight at 7 p.m. (EDT) on "RISE UP" on ESPN, and has received a renovation thanks to local businesses.
“This is putting a little fire in the belly of our students and our coaches," ahtletic director Traci Huffer says. "We finally feel like it’s our turn.”
