Katie Powell needed just three seconds to turn into a Saturday savior for the Pekin (Ill.) girls' basketball team.
At halftime, the Dragons were enjoying a comfortable 19-point lead over Limestone (Bartonville, Ill.). But with three seconds to go, Limestone's Jessica Armour hit two free throws to give her team a 53-52 lead.
No need to panic.
Powell took an inbounds pass from Maddie Cordts, dribbled once and hit the game-winning shot from three-quarters court to give Pekin a 55-53 win.
