OVA Asics, Chicago Fusion claim crowns

OVA 17 Asics of Orlando, Fla., and Fusion 16 Black of Chicago won the final two championships at the 2012 ESPNHS Girls Showcase at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

In the 17U Open final of the AAU Junior Girls National Volleyball Championships, OVA defeated the Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold 2-0. Click here to watch a replay.

In the 16U Open final, the Fusion defeated the Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold 2-1. Click here to watch a replay.

More than 1,700 volleyball teams competed at the eight-day event.
The ESPNHS Girls Showcase at ESPN Wide World of Sports concludes Wednesday night with champions being crowned on the volleyball courts.

On Tuesday, Shandong of China claimed the 18u open championship with a 2-1 win over Asics Munciana (click here to watch a replay), and Mizuno Northern Lights beat GVA 2-1 to claim the 15u open title (click here to watch a replay).

Earlier Tuesday, Shandong defeated the Nebraska Juniors 2-0 in a semifinal. Watch a replay of that match here.

Title time at ESPNHS Girls Showcase

Cy-Fair Todd Anderson Cy-Fair claimed the AAU 9th-grade girls' basketball championship on Sunday at the ESPNHS Girls Showcase.

Champions were crowned in basketball and softball on Sunday at the ESPNHS Girls Showcase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

In basketball, the Alabama Southern Starz won the 10th-grade championship with a 53-45 win over the Florida Angels, and Cy-Fair claimed the 9th-grade crown with a 54-49 win over the Gauchos.

In softball, Team FLA won the 16U ASA/USA Girl's Fast Pitch Softball National Qualifier title with a 5-2 win over the Miami Stingrays, and the Tampa HeatWave claimed the 18U title with a 7-0 win over the West Pines Diamond Dusters.

Basketball finals set at Girls Showcase

The final four girls' basketball teams have been decided at the ESPNHS Girls Showcase.

In the ninth-grade division, the New York Gauchos will take on Houston's Cy-Fair for the championship. You can watch the game live at 2:30 p.m. (ET) here.

In the 10th-grade division, the Alabama Southern Starz will play the Florida Angels for the title. You can watch the game live at 4:30 p.m. (ET) here.

Some of the best 9th- and 10th-grade girls' basketball teams took over the court at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Friday for the ESPNHS Girls Showcase.

On Sunday, the semifinals and final of the 9th grade tournament and the final of the 10th grade tournament will be shown live on ESPN3.

The United States swept Brazil on Thursday at the ESPNHS Girls Showcase in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The USA Basketball U17 national team tipped things off with an 80-38 win at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The U18 team followed with a 97-36 win.

The Showcase continues over the weekend with action in gymnastics, taekwondo, softball and more basketball.

The United States U18 and U17 national teams will scrimmage Brazil on Thursday, and they continued to do some fine-tuning during their training camp on Wednesday at the ESPNHS Girls Showcase in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The United States' U18 and U17 national teams are continuing to prepare for their scrimmages against Brazil on Thursday at the ESPNHS Girls Showcase, which is being held this week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The two scrimmages will be shown on ESPN3 Thursday at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The 2012 ESPNHS Girls Showcase tipped off on Monday when USA Basketball opened its training camp for the U18 and U17 national teams at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Approximately 15,000 athletes are scheduled to compete over the course of the four-week event, which includes competitions in basketball, softball, gymnastics, taekwondo and volleyball.
