Other Schools Considered: Notre Dame, Louisville, Illinois, Purdue, Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana and Wisconsin

Why Tennessee?: "Tennessee offered everything that I wanted in a school. Starting with the academics, to an outstanding soccer program, and an appealing campus atmosphere. My intended major, psychology, is offered at Tennessee. Lady Vol Soccer offers everything I have ever dreamed of in a college athletic atmosphere. Lastly, and most importantly, I truly belong in Knoxville at The University of Tennessee."

What surprised you the most about the recruiting process?: "What surprised me the most about the recruiting process is that as a student-athlete, you must start doing your part early in your high school days or you do not stand a chance against othe top recruits. But the top recruits without strong personalities don't stand a chance against the average players with the best characters. The biggest part in being recruited is probably the hardest part, which is selling yourself. You must embody, not only a strong student-athlete personality, but a strong character. Coaches at the next level do not want to deal with personality issues, they want to win. Therefore, e-mail coaches early, schedule visits, and sell yourself. Do all of that while making sure you stay true to who you are, don't get cocky, and remain a leader on and off the field. Coaches these days can't recruit talent, because talent is common, they must recruit athletets that have strong characters."
