This weekend’s Elite Clubs National League slate includes clubs from six different conferences, and features a number of rivalry matchups, including an Atlanta meeting between Condorde Fire and Atlanta Fire, a New York matchup between Albertson and East Meadow, and a Bean Town showdown between FC Stars of Mass and Scorpions. ESPNHS breaks down the ECNL Under-16 Games to Watch for this weekend.

Under-16

Atlanta Fire vs. Concorde Fire (3 p.m. Sunday in Georgia)

Concorde Fire and Atlanta Fire meet for the second time this season in what is a first place versus second place clash in the Southeast Conference this weekend in Atlanta. Atlanta Fire won the season opener 3-1, highlighted by a pair of goals from Grace Damaska. Damaska is the most explosive scorer in this game, and she will be priority No. 1 for the strong Concorde defense, which has given up more than one goal only twice this season in 18 matches.

Lonestar vs. Solar-Chelsea (1 p.m. Sunday in Texas)

This is an important match for Lonestar, as it tries to catch Dallas Sting for the top spot in the Texas Conference while preparing for an extremely difficult draw in the ECNL National Event in Florida later this month. The three-headed attack from Mikaela Harvey, Chelsea Jackson and Katherine Uhler is nearly impossible to stop when it’s working well. Solar-Chelsea, which started strong but doesn’t have an ECNL win since September, will have to solve that trio if they want to have a chance in Austin this week.

Ohio Elite vs. Vardar (noon Saturday in Ohio)

Vardar is coming off three enormous wins in its last three matches, beating Eclipse Select, Sockers and Michigan Hawks -- and allowing just one goal in the process. Vardar’s Jekyll-and-Hyde defense will likely decide its fate. In seven wins, the team has notched six shutouts. But in their four losses, Vardar has given up 14 goals (against some of the same teams). They’ll need Jekyll this weekend, as Ohio Elite has proven they can score at will.
