New York club standout commits to UNC

Jess Holmes (11) verbally committed to North Carolina after returning from the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Region I trip to Brazil.
Jess Holmes, who recently participated in the US Youth Soccer Region I trip to Brazil, verbally committed to ACC power North Carolina on Wednesday, according to her mother.
Holmes is rated in the ESPNHS 150 for the Class of 2013.
The Class of 2013 forward prospect from DeWitt, N.Y., plays club soccer for ECNL's Albertson Fury Elite U17s and high school soccer for Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, N.Y.). Holmes was an all-state selection for high school soccer.
The speedy forward has been a member of the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Region I team since 2007. During the recent trip to Brazil, Holmes and the rest of the team met Brazlian star Ronaldinho.
