Ohio teen earns spot on Deaf National Team

By Sheldon Shealer

Becca Dowling-Fitzpatrick, a senior goalkeeper who helped St. Francis DeSales (Columbus, Ohio) to a high school state title last fall, made the cut for the U.S. Women’s Deaf Soccer Team and was featured in the Columbus Dispatch.

Dowling-Fitzpatrick will be part of the team's exhibition match Saturday at Crew Stadium as the U.S. Women’s Deaf Soccer Team prepares for the World Deaf Football Championships in Ankara, Turkey, in July.
