High-SchoolIndiana: Max Hernandez

One game dominated the entire weekend (and the entire week leading up to it), and the clash between No. 1 Warren Central and No. 2 Carmel lived up to the hype. Warren Central scored the first 19 points of the game before Carmel stormed back to take a 20-19 lead. But on the final play of the game, Warren Central kicker Max Hernandez converted a 38-yard field goal to give the Warriors their seventh victory. It was Hernandez's first career field goal, and it was just the latest crazy installment in the Carmel-Warren Central rivalry. Despite the loss, No. 2 Carmel doesn't drop at all in the Indiana POWERADE football rankings, holding off No. 3 Ben Davis.
