Vero Beach (Vero Beach, Fla.) sophomore Katy Pridemore has verbally committed to play women's lacrosse for the University of Florida.

Pridemore is an attacker/midfielder and originally from Baltimore, Md. where she attended Notre Dame Prep (Baltimore, Md.).

Pridemore plays club lacrosse for TLC in Baltimore and is the first commit for Florida's 2014 class and is a 3.9 Honors student.

She also considered Notre Dame, Virginia, Maryland and Duke.

Pridemore's brother Ben Pridemore is a junior midfielder for Boys' Latin (Baltimore, Md.) and the No. 43 junior in the ESPNHS Top 50.
