Hereford (Parkton, Md.) senior midfielder Morgan Pritchett has verbally committed to play men’s lacrosse for Stevenson University.

The senior middie helped guide the Bulls to the state 3A/2A title last spring with two goals and an assist. Pritchett plays club lacrosse for the Maryland based team the Roughriders.

Stevenson is a Division III program located in Owings Mills, Md. The Mustangs were the top team in 2011 with an 18-3 record.

ESPNHS got Morgans’ thoughts on his commitment and the recruting process.

ESPNHS: What was the deciding factor in choosing Stevenson University?
Morgan Pritchett: "The deciding factor for me was the great sense of family and community coach Cantabene offered me as a player."

ESPNHS: What other schools did you have on your radar?
MP: "Other schools that I considered were Salisbury, Mount St. Mary's and Delaware."

ESPNHS: What experiences from being on a winning team like Hereford can you take
with you to Stevenson?
MP: "I think being a leader on team like Hereford will definitely translate over to Stevenson. I love being a leader and I love being the teammate that all my guys want to look up to."

ESPNHS: What was the recruiting process like for you?
MP: "The process was a very long and stressful process but without a doubt one of the more exhilarating experiences I've been a part of."

ESPNHS: If you had to, would you do it all over again?
MP: "If I had the choice I would have to say no."

ESPNHS: What piece of advice would you give to a player that wants to be recruited?
MP: "Continue to work hard because no matter how long the process is you will find the school that fits you and your needs."

ESPNHS: Best part about your game?
MP: "I would have to say the best part about my game is my ability to draw the slide and the double very quickly, which allows for another teammate of mine to get open."
