ESPN High School: What other schools did you consider?

Peter Bradley: “Saint Joseph's University, Washington College, Catholic University, Queens University.”

EHS: What made VMI such an attractive choice?

PB: “VMI was such an attractive choice to me because it was not the ordinary path that everyone takes. VMI was such a unique opportunity. VMI has so much to offer not only from a lacrosse point of view but also later in life.”

EHS: What surprised you about the recruiting process?

PB: “The recruiting process is such a hands on experience. Everything from having to talk to college coaches on the phone constantly to going to the schools for visits.”

EHS: What was the most important question you asked college coaches during the process?

PB: “The most important question I asked was how the team interacted with each other and what brand of lacrosse the coach wanted to play.”

EHS: What one piece of advice would you give to other players who are just starting on the recruiting process?

PB: “I would just want to tell other kids to start the recruiting process early and to not wait for college coaches to talk to you. I would also recommend to always be open and honest with the coach cause you should not have anything to hide.”

EHS: Is there anything about the recruiting process that you think could change that would have made it easier or less stressful for you?

PB: “I would not change anything from my experience. I was put in the best situation for myself being on a well-known club team and had the right people on my side helping me through the entire process.”
