Hereford (Parkton, Md.) junior attackman Joe Seider announced his verbal commitment Monday night to Towson University.

Seider, a 2013 graduate, joins recently committed teammate Jack Adams at Towson. The junior was named US Lacrosse All-American and was one of two Maryland public school members to play on the 2011 Baltimore Underclass team at the Under Armour games.

Towson University is a Division I school located in Towson, Md. and is in the Colonial Athletic Association.

ESPN High School: What other school’s did you consider?

Joe Seider: "Maryland, Villanova, Penn State, Princeton."

EHS: What made Towson such an attractive choice?

JS: "I really liked the campus, the size of the school and the location. As soon as I met the coaches I felt like they had been coaching me for years. When I did my overnight visit there I really felt at home. The team feels very close and I love the "Blue Collar" work ethic."

EHS: What surprised you about the recruiting process?

JS: "I was very surprised how quickly the recruiting process started and how stressful it was, especially in the summer club season. The visits were very cool, I enjoyed meeting the coaches and touring the campuses."

EHS: What was the most important question you asked college coaches during the process?

JS: "How you see me fitting in to your program and what the school would provide me as a student athlete."

EHS: What one piece of advice would you give to other players who are just starting on the recruiting process?

JS: "When you are playing in front of college coaches you shouldn't worry about making a really good play, instead you should focus on making your team look good. Don't stress out if you mess up once or twice just move on. Since the recruiting process is starting so early you should be e-mailing coaches your personal info and your lacrosse schedules. Keep e-mailing the coaches after the tournaments to show your sincere interest in the school."

EHS: Is there anything about the recruiting process that you think could change that would have made it easier or less stressful for you?

JS: "Since the earlier start of recruiting, I think coaches should be allowed to email athletes earlier then august 1 of their junior year."
