Northport (N.Y.) sophomore Allie Pavinelli has verbally committed to play women's lacrosse for the University of Florida.

Pavinelli was a starting midfielder on Northport’s 2011 Class A New York State Championship team and was selected to represent Team Long Island at the Under Armour All-American Underclassmen games.

Pavinelli joins Vero Beach (Fla.) sophomore Katy Pridemore as players who have confirmed their commitment to Florida's 2014 recruiting class.
