Each week during the 2012 season, ESPNHS Lacrosse will select a player from each of four regions as Player of the Week.

To submit a player for consideration fill out our submission form here. Please be sure to provide the player’s entire week worth of performances.

Athletes can earn Player of the Week honors just once during the 2012 regular season. The following players are for the week of June 3 through June 9.

The Midwest, Southeast and West seasons are complete.

East
Emily Tripodi, Sr., West Genesee (Camillus, N.Y.), midfield
Tripodi totaled six points on four assists and two goals in the 9-5 Class A championship victory over Penfield on June 9. But it was her timing and not the box score that earns her East Region Player of the Week. With the Class A championship tied 5-5, the senior had her hand in West Genesee’s final four goals. Tripodi scored with 9:58 remaining to break the tie and then set up Erica Geremia on two goals and Shannon Hawley on one to give the Wildcats the win. Tripodi’s performance earned her Tournament MVP honors and sealed the Wildcats' first championship since 2008. Tripodi finished the season with 102 points on 75 assists and 27 goals.
