The No. 14 player in the ESPNHS Top 50 Junior list, Linda Attanasio from Garden City (Garden City, N.Y.), has verbally committed to play women's lacrosse for Dartmouth.

"Not only is Dartmouth a great Ivy league college with a winning tradition, but under Amy Patton Dartmouth has a long history of being one of the best defensive teams in the country." Attanasio said. "I respect Amy Patton's defensive style of play, her work ethic and I learned something new every time I play with her and her staff at their camps."

Attanasio was choses as the No. 1 defender in the 2013 class when ESPNHS released the rankings in November.

Attanasio is the latest in several Garden City juniors to confirm their commitment to ESPNHS, joining Marie Cristoforo, Elizabeth Furman and Lily Schmitt as Division I commitments.

Overall, Garden City has seven players confirmed heading to D-I programs.
