Warrior Watch: Coleman could be top midfielder
By By Mike Grimala
The third annual Warrior 40 competition is Aug. 13-15 in Commerce City, Colo. The three-day event hosts the nation's best high school boys lacrosse players.
Each week until the final roster is announced, ESPNHS will profile four athletes from our Warrior 40 Tracker.
Ben Chisolm, Jr., South River (Edgewater, Md.), attackman Ranked No. 45 in the ESPNHS Top 50 Juniors list, Chisolm brings a creative flair to his attack position. He is the top offensive option on a South River team that will play in the state semifinals on Friday, and he scored a pair of goals in the Seahawks' most recent postseason victory. Before that, he scored a game-high five goals in South River's 14-9 win over Glenelg in the District V title game last week.
Jake Clise, Jr., Loyola-Blakefield (Baltimore), attackman Loyola-Blakefield is currently ranked No. 11 in the POWERADE FAB 50, and Clise is one of the squad's main producers. He's ranked No. 48 on the ESPNHS Top 50 Juniors list because of his scoring prowess. At 6-foot-2, Clise can overpower most defenders. He's also the starting quarterback on the football team, and he would bring a power element to the Warrior 40.
Sean Coleman, Jr., La Salle (Wyndmoor, Pa.), midfielder Coleman might be the most talented midfielder in his class. He can do just about everything on the lacrosse field, and his versatility would be a welcome addition to the Warrior 40. A Harvard recruit, Coleman can pass, score and defend equally. He's ranked No. 14 in the ESPNHS Top 50 Juniors list.
Quinn Collison, Jr., Cincinnati Moeller (Cincinnati), attackman A Bucknell commit, Collison is a physical playmaker who knows how to use his 6-foot-2 frame in the offensive end. He's got a hard shot, but he's also effective when finding cracks and working his way to the net. In 22 games this season, he's tallied 18 goals and 18 assists. Collison has the speed and power to compete with the high-level athletes he would be playing against at Warrior 40.
