Topsail (N.C.) senior chooses Mt. Olive

Topsail (Hampstead, N.C.) senior attacker Dominique Fortunato has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women's lacrosse for Mount Olive College.
In her junior and senior years at Topsail, Fortunato led the team in goals, assists and ground balls.
In 2012 she averaged eight goals per game which ranked fifth in North Carolina. She set two National Federation of High School national records for
most goals in a game (20) and most goals scored in one half (12)
Fortunato played lacrosse at Caldwell (West Caldwell N.J.) for two years before relocating to Topsail.
Mount Olive College is a new Division II lacrosse program. The Trojan's first season as a NCAA D-II team will be 2013, lead by coach Grant A. Kellum.
