Indian Hills (N.J.) highly touted junior to Rutgers

Indian Hills (Oakland, N.J.) junior attacker Nicole Kopyta has given her verbal commitment to play women’s lacrosse at Rutgers University.

Kopyta, a 2013 graduate, plays club lacrosse for the NJ based T3 Elite. The junior had 84 goals and 14 assists during her sophomore season. The attacker also had 89 draw controls while pulling in 72 ground balls . Kopyta made First Team All-League, Second Team All-Bergen County and received All-Suburban Girls Lacrosse Sophomore of the Year honors.

Rutgers is a Division I program located in New Brunswick, N.J. The Scarlet Knights,a member of the Big East conference, went 9-7 in 2011 under head coach Laura Brand-Sias.
