The MIAA football playoffs kicked off last night, with 36 games across the state. In Eastern Mass, BC High and Needham earned the right to face off in the Division 1 Super Bowl on Saturday, while Lincoln-Sudbury and Everett advanced in Division 1A. In Central Mass, Leominster squeezed past Fitchburg for the second time in four days, advancing to the D1 Super Bowl against St. John's of Shrewsbury. Auburn, the top-ranked CMass team, throttled Groton-Dunstable, 35-7 in Division 3. The Worcester Telegram & Gazette has the recaps here.
